MTS provides both telephone and Internet services to the RM of Portage. Visit their web site for complete information on their services. You can also contact the MTS Connect Store in the city of Portage la Prairie for information and service. 

A variety of cellular services are available, including Rogers and Telus.

Shaw Cable also serves portions of the municipality with their TV, telephone and Internet services. Contact their local office at 204-857-6623 for more information.

Radio
There are two local radio stations in the Portage region: CFRY at 920 AM and 93.1 FM (country music) and Mix 96 at 96.5 FM (contemporary music).

A number of radio stations based in Winnipeg can also be received throughout the municipality.

Television
There are three stations based in Winnipeg which still broadcast over the air. Cable is available in some areas of the municipality. Both Starchoice and Express Vu satellite services are available.
 
Newspapers
The Portage Daily Graphic is the local paper and publishes once per week. The Herald-Leader is a free weekly publication which is delivered to all residents.

The Winnipeg Free Press and Winnipeg Sun are also available.
 
On-Line Information
There are two main sources of local information on the Internet.PortageOnLine is operated by Golden West Broadcasting, which also owns the CFRY and Mix 96 radio stations.

The second is the Portage Daily Graphic web site, operated by the local newspaper.
