Public Access to RM of Portage la Prairie Municipal Office 

The RM of Portage la Prairie’s Municipal Office continues to be open to the public.  The RM recognizes the importance of re-establishing vital, in-person services for its residents.

To ensure services can be delivered in a way that is both safe for staff and customers, a number of protocols have been developed for safe interactions: 

 

  •          Limiting the front entrance and foyer area to four customer at a time;
  •          Mandatory application of hand sanitizer before proceeding to the service counter;
  •          Presence of glass shields at service counters;
  •          Extra cleaning of commonly touched surfaces.

 

Customers experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms (fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat) are requested to avoid entering the Municipal Office.

Taxes:

  • Make payments through your online banking system (be sure to choose RM, not CITY) click here for instructions
  • E-transfer – to payments@rmofportage.ca (provide name and account # in comments).
  • Paymentus electronic bill payment for online credit or debit card payments.  to make a payment Click Here or call 1-888-918-1288.  Service fees will apply.
  • To set up regular monthly payments withdrawn from your bank account, sign up for Pre-Authorized Debit - An application form must be completed, along with a VOID cheque attached.  Please contact Heather Stiegler at the RM office if you have any questions. 
  • Payments may be mailed or dropped in the locked drop box
