The Portage La Prairie Regional Library

40B Royal Road North The Portage la Prairie Regional Library provides memberships to residents of the City and the Rural Municipality of Portage la Prairie free of charge. Non-residents are charged an annual fee.
 
The library provides access to books for all ages, magazines, large-print books, audio books, DVDs and eBooks.  The library also has a microfilm reader and a microfilm collection of newspapers dating from the 1880's for Portage, MacGregor and Gladstone.  
 
The wide range of library services offered include:
  • printing; 
  • block loans to schools or organizations;
  • curbside pick-up; 
  • inter-library loans;
  • Internet access (includes laptop and wireless access);
  • children’s workshops;
  • pre-school storytime;
  • book and artifact displays;
  • multilingual books;
  • adult information sessions;
  • author readings and book launches;
  • and a summer-long book sale.
 
Open to the public: Tuesday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; 
Closed Sunday and Monday.
